Traffic at a major intersection in Moose Jaw will be slowed as the city starts to re-pave Main and Thatcher Drive.
Significant detours will be in place, along with speed restrictions, but the city of Moose Jaw says businesses in the area should remain open.
The work will occur in two phases:
Week of August 21 – milling and paving the west bound lane on the east side of the intersection. Traffic will be temporarily diverted to the eastbound lane, resulting in two-way traffic in the work zone.
Week of August 28 – milling and paving the intersection. The traffic accommodation and detouring for Phase Two will be extensive, with traffic being re-routed along the west service road and around Diefenbaker Drive.
The project is expected to take about two week to complete, depending on the weather.
