Regina’s Canadian Western Agribition generated almost 100 million dollars in economy activity last year.
Agribition CEO Shaun Kindopp says an economic study by Praxis Consulting found the show generated 96.5 million dollars in economic impact, a 31 percent jump from the last study five years ago.
He says the show generated 2.2 million dollars in livestock sales and almost one million dollars in trade show booth sales.
The study also found Agribition helped create or maintain 900 jobs.
As well, the show generated 8.3 million dollars to federal revenue, 8 million to the province and 1.4 million dollars to the city.
