In light of the serious allegations coming from Legacy Christian Academy in Saskatoon, the provincial government is taking steps for student safety and well-being .

An administrator will be appointed to over-see three independent schools: Legacy Christian, Grace Christian School and Regent Academy. All three schools are on probation, although the extent of that isn’t clear. All three will be required to report within 24 hours if there are allegations of criminal activity or a criminal charge of a staff member.

This is in response to more than 20 students at Legacy Christian Academy coming forward detailing physical and mental abuse at the hands of teachers and administration.
