COVID numbers continue to slide downwards in new cases, hospitalizations and deaths in this week’s COVID-19 report put out by the province.
New lab confirmed cases are down from 231 to 208. Hospitalizations are down from 157 to 119, ICU cases are down from five to four, and there were three deaths this week, compared to the 12 announced the previous week.
One death happened to a person between age 20 and 39, while the other two were people 80 and older.
The weekly test positivity of 3.8 per cent this week is lower than the previous week’s 4.0 per cent.
Of zones with reported test positivity, the South East zone, at 9.6 per cent, had the highest, while the Far North West zone had the lowest at 2.3 per cent. Test positivity in Regina zone more than doubled from 3.4 per cent to 7.0 per cent.
The province said in the release that rates should be interpreted with caution because they do not include cases detected by home rapid-antigen test kits.
The province will be going to monthly reports in July and August.
