The deadline for filing your taxes in Moose Jaw is coming up at the end of the month.
In May, city council approved a 5.45 per cent mill rate increase for 2022. That includes a 3.84 per cent increase for Moose Jaw programs and services and a 1.61 per cent increase for Moose Jaw Police Service operations.
The average single family residence in Moose Jaw will pay $1,571.69 in municipal property taxes.
Among the budget initiatives this year are a parks and recreation master plan, construction of a pickleball facility at the Kinsmen Sportsplex and $1.1 million for the revitalization of the Thunderbird Viaduct, also known as the Fourth Avenue bridge.
The city reminds property owners that paying taxes by June 30th means you will avoid the late payment surcharge.
