A 34-year-old Regina woman has been charged with attempted murder after an incident May 23.

Ashley Rempel has been charged with attempted murder, kidnapping, forcible confinement and aggravated assault. She made her first appearance on these charges in Regina provincial court Friday afternoon.

Police were sent to the 1200 block of Garnet Street at 2 a.m. Monday for an injured woman, who had injuries that were described as serious.

Tegan Laplante, a 24-year-old Regina man, was charged with the same charges as Rempel earlier in the week and appeared in provincial court Monday.
