As we continue to roll on through spring, the snow melt and runoff is nearly complete.

Southwest Saskatchewan was extremely dry last year,

Despite a lower than normal runoff, some late winter storm storms have helped with soil moisture and water supplies.

In the southeast the Souris river levels are already dropping, and its expected the Grant Devine Reservoir will be full by the end of May.

Along the Qu’Appelle River system, flows are receding wand water is being diverted into Last Mountain Lake to bring the levels up for the summer.

Up north, in the Churchill Basin, the melt is really getting underway. There are no issues expected, but the higher snowpack could change that if there is significant rain.
