April was a record month for the province’s oil and gas public offering, with over $19 million coming in.
Six times a year, the province offers Crown petroleum and natural gas rights, which generates revenue for the province. This year raised $19,307,203.94 in revenue for the province with 208 parcels, with 169 parcels receiving acceptable bids.
Most of the sales came in the Estevan area, with $17,111,929.83 million for 142 parcels, totaling 11,890.306 hectares.
The $19.3 million raised is more than 10 times the revenue from the April 2021 offering.
The next sale is scheduled for June 7th.
