Regina fire provide update to blaze in Downtown

Regina Fire and Protective Services (RFPS) were called to a fire at a two-story apartment complex on the 1800 Block of Halifax Street in Downtown Regina Friday morning at 4:52 a.m.

After an investigation, the RFPS found that the fire had been caused by individuals occupying the property. It is not known if the fire was intentional.

No one was injured and the fire was under control within 20 minutes after firefighters found a suite on fire on the main floor.

“Firefighters found a fully involved suite on the main floor and had the fire under control within 20 minutes. The property has been searched and no injuries reported.”

The fire comes just two months after crews were called to the adjacent building.
