A Regina area farmer is encouraging other producers to donate to the Regina food bank.

Roy Klym donated 42 tons of high quality oats to the Regina food bank, providing 67 thousand bags of oats for families in need.

Klym is hoping other farmers will also donate to the food bank.

The high grade oats are cleaned at Condie seeds, processed at Avena Foods and bagged at CanMar Foods in Regina, with a total value at close to half a million dollars.
