The Whitewood Fire Department was called out early this morning to deal with a vehicle fire just west of the town on highway 1.

When crews arrived, they found the vehicle stuck across the CPR main line track.

It appears that the front tire had started on fire while trying to become un-stuck.

No one was hurt, and the crossing was reopened.

Broadview RCMP are investigating.
