An investigation is underway after a cyclist was sent to hospital with what police say are serious injuries when he was hit near Kindersley in the west-central part of the province

The incident happened Tuesday night just after 6 on Highway 21. about two-and-a-half kilometers of Kindersley.

RCMP say the man was found on the highway next to his bike and was rushed to hospital.

The driver did not stick around and at this time police have no idea what kind of vehicle might have been involved.
