According to a report from Statistics Canada, 154,000 jobs were added across Canada in November.

The report says gains were seen in Ontario, Quebec, Alberta, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island, with everywhere else staying  mostly flat.

Canada’s unemployment rate fell from 6.7 percent in October, to 6.0 percent last month.

Those considered long-term unemployed fell by 62,000, the first monthly drop seen since a report published in September.

Unemployment was at 5.7 percent in February 2020, just before the start of the pandemic.

The report said the unemployment rate would have been 7.8 percent in November if it also included Canadians who wanted to work but didn’t search for a job, which is down from 8.7 percent in October.

Saskatchewan’s government says provincially the unemployment rate fell to 5.2 percent from 6.2 percent in October.

In November 2021, Saskatchewan has about 10,100 more jobs than that time a year prior.

The provinces says 7,500 of those were full time.
