Strange call to Regina school has RPS investigating

Regina Police are looking into what they say was a strange call made to an elementary school last Tuesday

Police say they were alerted to the call on Wednesday. That call requested a specific student be dismissed early for an appointment with the caller saying they were waiting outside to pick the student up.

The parent of the student in question was at the school at the time and said they did not make the initial call sparking some confusion.

The origin of the call is not clear, but an initial investigation has shown no ill intent and that no other schools have received similar calls.

What school or what end of the city this happened in is not being released.
