The Pumpkin Patrol will be out tonight thanks to the volunteers at Access Communications.

Spokesperson Fran Moran says it’s been a tradition for 25 years. “We got volunteers who are driving Access vehicles that are specially marked, there’s an orange flashing light, some glow in the dark decals, and they have direct line to law enforcement. If any children are in need of help they can flagged down one of our vehicles and they will be contacting law enforcement right away.”

The Pumpkin Patrol is another way for Access to give back to the community according to Moran. “Pumpkin Patrol is in eleven of our communities, it’s just another way to do our part to keep trick or treaters safe.”

The Pumpkin patrol will be operating from 6:00 until 8:30.

For the second straight year, COVID-19 protocols will be in place for volunteers.
