Regina teen charged after weapons incident on Retallack Street

A 17-year-old boy is facing a weapons charge after Regina Police responded to an incident on Retallack Street Tuesday morning.

Police were called to the 1500 block around 9:30 a.m. after a group of people was seen in possession of a weapon.

Upon arrival the group dissipated in multiple directions, one threw a firearm which was recovered by police.

The 17-year-old who cannot be named, was charged with possession of a weapon and failing to comply with an undertaking.

A 16-year-old was also arrested for public intoxication, but later released.

The 17-year-old will be in court November 30th.
