A death that took place Wednesday just east of Regina’s downtown has now been deemed a homicide.

Police were called to the 1700 block of Ottawa Street on Wednesday morning for a report of a dead individual. Police located 24-year-old Peri Redwood deceased at the scene. Her family has been notified.

Police are still searching for suspects in relation to this incident. Anyone with information is asked to contact RPS or Crime Stoppers.

This is Regina’s ninth homicide of 2021.
