G3 has announced construction of a new multi-million dollar grain terminal at Melfort.

G3 corporate communications specialist, Peter Chura, says the company will build new grain elevators in Melfort, Saskatchewan and Rycroft, Alberta.

Cost of construction of the 42 thousand ton grain elevators was not disclosed.

Construction is expected to be completed in early 2023.

Both will feature a 150-car unit train loop track with the ability to unload a super-B truck in less than 5 minutes.

G3 has 17 grain elevators across Western Canada, including a facility in Swift Current which opened earlier this year.

G3 opened its new export terminal at Vancouver last year.
