Harvest reaches 95 percent in Southeast Saskatchewan

Harvest is nearing 95 percent complete across Southeast Saskatchewan.

The provincial crops extension specialist in Weyburn, Sherri Roberts, says a few specialty crops need to be combined but most crops are in the bin.

She says much of the southeast enjoys average to above average production.

She says many farmers had good moisture in the southeast and the region is a bright spot for crops in the province.

Roberts says there were a few pockets in the southeast where drought reduced production, areas around Hume, Radville and Kipling.
