A 20-year-old man originally charged with aggravated assault in relation to the death of a one-year-old girl in Regina is now facing a manslaughter charge.
Bailey Peepeetch was re-arrested on Monday under the updated charge.
Shortly before 5:30 p.m. on October 7th Regina Police were called after it was discovered that EMS were transporting a one-year-old child to hospital with critical injuries.
EMS advised police the child’s injuries appeared to be from physical abuse.
The child died in hospital on October 9th, two days after the suspected assault.
Peepeetch was back in court on the updated charged Tuesday morning.
