Prince Albert police are investigating what they believe to be a homicide,

In a release, Prince Albert police say they were sent to a business on the 3600 block of Second Avenue West after receiving a call of an assault last Thursday

The 40-year-old woman was taken to hospital with serious injuries. She was transferred to a Saskatoon hospital where she was declared dead on Saturday.

An autopsy on the woman, whose name has not been released, will be happening Tuesday.
