Saskatchewan Party leader Scott Moe is waiting until the last second.

At an event in Saskatoon on Monday, Moe announced the writ will drop Tuesday, meaning Saskatchewan citizens will be going to the polls in the 29th provincial election on what will likely be Monday, October 26.

Tuesday is the last day that an election can be called to get a 28-day campaign in before voters go to the polls on October 26.

Moe will be trying to lead the Saskatchewan Party to power again. They have been the party of choice in Saskatchewan since Brad Wall became Premier in 2007.

As it stands right now, the Saskatchewan Party had 46 of the 61 seats with the NDP holding 13 and two left vacant.
