Two men are facing charges after an attempted car theft led to a stabbing in the Coronation Park area of Regina.
Police were called to Dawson Crescent at 4:00 AM on Saturday morning, where it was learned a man had been stabbed. Officers then learned the victim was caught trying to steal a vehicle near the corner of Avonhurst Drive and Elphinstone Street by the owner. The owner then allegedly stabbed the man, who was treated in hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
44-year-old Vincent Kakakaway is charged with aggravated assault, while 30-year-old Jordan Geddes is charged with assault with a weapon, attempted theft of a motor vehicle and possession of break in instruments.
Kakakaway appeared in court Monday morning, while Geddes will appear in court once he is released from hospital.
