The Weyburn Fire Department is still investigating the fire that took place at the local Canadian Tire store early Wednesday afternoon.

Fire Chief Simon Almond says in a statement that a tire fire was initially reported and confirmed by firefighters on scene. The fire also impacted a natural gas line in the store, causing a bit of a delay in putting it out.

There were road closures in place but they have since ended. No one was injured in the fire.

While the fire is still under investigation, the fire department does not expect this to be suspicious in nature.
