Two Canadians Win Big: $40 Million Each in Latest Lotto Max Draw
This also happened in September of this year, where two lucky people split the exact same amount of winnings! Can one of us be next? lol!
In an exciting turn of events, two fortunate Canadians are each taking home $40 million after splitting the $80 million Lotto Max jackpot from Tuesday’s draw. The winning tickets were purchased in Quebec and Alberta, according to provincial lottery officials.
This jackpot had grown to $80 million after several previous draws went unclaimed. “It’s fantastic to see the $80 million jackpot won again in Québec,” said Isabelle Jean from Loto-Québec. “What wonderful news just in time for the holidays!”
In addition to the main jackpot, players also had the chance to win one of the 29 Maxmillion prizes worth $1 million each. In Ontario, almost 665,000 Lotto Max tickets won various prizes, including five Maxmillion winners.
The odds of hitting the Lotto Max jackpot stand at one in 33,294,800. Interestingly, while the most commonly drawn numbers since the game expanded to 50 numbers are 7, 19, 22, 32, 36, and 46, many players still opt for the simple sequence of 1 through 7.
Get ready for the next Lotto Max draw on December 6, which features an estimated $33 million jackpot!
