We counted down our favourite answers on the show. Sometimes you hurt yourself doing every day things.
The joys of waking up feeling like you got hit by a truck for no apparent reason! Our bodies have a funny way of reminding us that we’re not as young as we used to be. Here are some of our listener suggestions of embarrassing reasons your body has felt sore:
- The dance floor – Nothing like busting out your best moves on the dance floor only to regret it the next day when your hips are screaming at you.
- Trying to impress your gym crush – We’ve all been there, pushing ourselves a little too hard during a workout to show off to that cute guy or girl. But hey, at least you got their attention, right?
- Staying up all night binge-watching Netflix – Who needs sleep when you have a whole season of your favorite show to watch? Your body, apparently, because now you can barely move without wincing in pain.
- Attempting a new yoga pose you saw on Instagram – That picture of the girl effortlessly doing a handstand on the beach made it look so easy, right? Wrong. Now you’re stuck in child’s pose, unable to straighten your back without wincing.
- Carrying all the groceries in one trip – Because who has time for multiple trips back and forth from the car? Your arms might hate you now, but at least you saved some time, right?
- Simply just….walking. How does this even happen?
- Travelling – When your neck is sore from simply sitting still for a couple of hours
- Riding a horse – shouldn’t the horse be the one that is sore?
- Bowling – most of us do this bi-annually. We usually cant move the next day LOL
So next time you’re hobbling around like a grandma after a day of seemingly normal activities, just remember: you’re not alone. We’ve all been there, and we’ll probably be there again. But hey, at least it makes for a good story, right? What needs to be added to the list?
