“Heat Warnings” in the south, “air quality advisories” in the north.

That sums up the weather forecast for Saskatchewan was we close in on the unofficial mid point of summer.

Smoke from wildfires is brings smokey skies to most of Saskatchewan, but in the north it has triggered “air quality advisories”, essentially from Montreal Lake north to La Loche.

In the south, “heat warnings” are in effect from Moose Jaw, west to the Alberta Border.  The heat extends from Maple Creek in the south west, to the Battlefords in the north.

Regina doesn’t have either the “heat warning” or the “air quality advisory”, but it will still be smokey, and hot in the Queen City.  Temperatures are expected to be in the low to mid 30’s for the next couple of days, with some smoke in the air as well.  There could be thunderstorms tonight, and overnight into Sunday.
