The Southey Communiplex today announced a $10,000 donation from the Sherwood Co-Op.
The Communiplex group is trying to raise enough money to build a proper locker room.
There are girls and non-binary players on boys teams both in Southey and visiting Southey, and the secondary room they use right now lacks bathroom facilities or showers. Right now, they’re using a secondary office.
The Communiplex group says their female and non-binary players deserve a space of their own, complete with bathrooms and showers.
A total of $287,000 will be needed for the upgrades.
