Police in Meadow Lake are seeking a woman wanted on charges of kidnapping and flight from police.

On June 6, a short time after investigating a report of an injured woman at a Meadow Lake residence, they discovered a group of people had forced the woman into a car and assaulted her.

Police tried to stop the suspect vehicle at a traffic stop and they did not stop, but the vehicle was located again a short time later and the occupants were arrested.

Four were arrested, and a warrant has been issued for Kyla Cheenanow, 22. In addition to her charges of kidnapping and assault, she is also wanted for failing to comply with a release order and breach of probation.
