A 47-year-old female was charged after a fatal hit-and-run with a pedestrian last year.
On October 21, police were dispatched to Rochdale Boulevard and Cedar Meadow Drive for the report of a hit-and-run collision involving a pedestrian. When police arrived, they found the victim lying on the ground. He was taken to the hospital by EMS, where he later died.
A preliminary investigation indicated that the victim was crossing northbound on Rochdale Boulevard from the south sidewalk on Cedar Meadow Drive. An SUV, eastbound from Cedar Meadow Drive, turned left onto Rochdale Boulevard, striking the male. The SUV continued eastbound without stopping.
On May 11, 2022, the alleged driver of the SUV was arrested without incident and charged.
The Forty-seven-year-old woman is charged with Failure to Stop After an Accident that resulted in Death.
She made her first court appearance on this charge in Provincial Court on Thursday, May 12.
