Another rise in the amount of COVID-19 Hospitalizations have been reported in this week’s provincial Covid report.
There were 417 reported as of April 20, compared to 403 last week. The amount of people in ICU remained the same at 25.
There were 22 deaths also reported in the province, with 13 reported during the week and eight deaths in the previous weeks, while one death was not given a date of death yet.
The deaths were to one person between ages 40-59, two between 60-69, seven between 70 and 79 and 12 ages 80 and older. Six were in the Regina region.
There were 890 new lab-confirmed cases of COVID- which was lower than last week’s 1,050, but the report said rates should be interpreted with caution because they do not include cases detected by home rapid-antigen test kits.
Of the new cases, 258 were in the Saskatoon zone, 134 were in the Regina zone and 90 were in the Central East. The other regions with new cases were Northwest (66), Southeast (56), North Central (54), South Central (52), Central West (38), South West (34), North East (31), Far North West (19) and Far North East (8).
