SaskPower is investing two million dollars towards their Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Program.
The program aims to help businesses and organizations install 20 electric vehicles fast-charging stations along highways.
The crown cooperation has started accepting applications from businesses or organizations interested in building fast-charging infrastructure.
SaskPower is looking to build the charging stations where charging stations are lacking, including Highways 11 and 16 and some secondary highways that connect major cities.
According to SaskPower, Saskatchewan residents owned about 1,200 electric vehicles at the end of 2021.
