A 15-year-old girl is dead after a single vehicle collision on a grid road south of Invermay.

Wadena RCMP were called to the scene on Saturday night at about 7:20 PM on Rural Road 617, about eight kilometres south of Invermay. It was determined an SUV rolled and left the roadway, killing the 15-year-old passenger and seriously injuring the 16-year-old girl driving the vehicle.

She was taken to hospital and there is no update on her injuries at this time.

The road was closed for several hours during the initial investigation, but has since re-opened. Wadena RCMP are still investigating the incident.
