The latest COVID-19 numbers sees Saskatchewan hit a grim milestone as 800 people have now died as a result of complications from the virus.
The latest numbers show two new deaths and 355 new cases as the province sees an increase in new cases after four straight days of decreases. The new cases are located in the Far North West (14), Far North East (13), North West (53), North Central (34), North East (8), Saskatoon (89), Central West (5), Central East (34), Regina (38), South West (9), South Central (11), and South East (21) zones and 26 new cases have pending residence information. The active case count continues to fall and now sits at 3,104.
322 individuals are in hospital including 76 in the ICU. Of the 322 patients, 236 were not fully vaccinated.
There were 3,241 tests performed on Wednesday. There were also 3,839 vaccines that were put into the arms of Saskatchewan residents. Of those 3,839, 2,415 were second doses.
