While the south west corner of Saskatchewan sees an increase of COVID-19 infections, Swift Current will be implementing a new COVID-19 rapid testing program for all city staff who report to the workplace.
The rapid testing program will be in place for all city staff that cannot provide proof of vaccination upon reporting for work.
In a news release, Swift Current Mayor Al Bridal says it was not a difficult measure to support, adding the city has to do everything within their power to protect their employees, council, and residents.
Dates on when the program will be implemented will be released in the coming days.
