The City of Moose Jaw is advising residents that water discoloration for residences in the South Hill area is temporary, and that the water is safe to consume as normal.
The discoloration is a result of closed valves related to recent water main breaks on the 1200 and 1300 blocks of Coteau St. West .
Properties in the break zone who have received red notices remain on a Boil Water Advisory until receiving a green notice signifying otherwise.
The City also says street sweeping may also cause water discoloration, crews use water from area hydrants and some discoloration can happen when those hydrants are operated.
The discolored water may last a few days and is safe to drink.
There are two separate factors resulting in the temporary discolouration. Full details: https://t.co/OjjuNpkbN2 pic.twitter.com/j0BGI7y83g
