Update – The Saskatchewan RCMP are cancelling an amber alert issued on Wednesday morning for a four-year-old girl from Saskatoon.
RCMP say she was found safe and sound by Saskatoon police shortly after the alert was activated.
“We thank you very much for your support of the Amber Alert program. Further updates will be provided by the Saskatoon Police Service,” stated Saskatchewan RCMP in an email.
The Saskatoon Police Service confirmed the news on their social media once she was found.
“This does not appear to be criminal, but police are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the file & partner agencies have been notified,” read a tweet from the SPS Twitter account.
Saskatoon police added they are planning to meet with media to speak on this incident.
